TenX Healthcare Launches Hawthorne PeriOp, Building on Proven Success in Cleveland Clinic Florida Pilot to Significantly Improve Key OR Performance Metrics
SUNRISE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)
TenX Healthcare, experts in improving productivity, efficiency and patient satisfaction, announced today that the company will work with Softbank Telecom America, a subsidiary of Softbank Corp., to bring technology innovations to the healthcare market with a focus on data visualization, predictive analytics, IoT, AI and robotics. TenX Healthcare also announced the availability of Hawthorne PeriOp, the first of its next-generation patient flow solutions using advanced analytics, behavioral science and real-time data to enable continuous improvement of perioperative efficiency, patient experience and staff satisfaction.
The agreement comes as TenX completes a highly-successful pilot of Hawthorne PeriOp at the Cleveland Clinic Florida, a world class surgery and transplant center in Weston, FL, which saw its already high-performance perioperative department improve across all key operational metrics, including improved first time starts, reduced OR turnover times, shortened wait times for clinicians and patients, and substantial reductions in surgical wing operating costs.
“The results at Cleveland Clinic were eye-opening, and clearly demonstrate our ability to significantly increase efficiency, guest satisfaction and caregiver engagement on a very cost-effective basis in an already highly-optimized, nationally recognized leader,” said Ted Knighton, President and CEO, TenX Healthcare. “Leveraging real-time data visualization and disposable patient tracking bracelets to drive process improvements is just the beginning of what we can do to bring practical productive change to health systems. We see incredible potential to advance the operational impact of a range of technologies including predicative analytics, IoT, AI and robotics.”
The TenX Healthcare team has pioneered two critical innovations with Hawthorne that transform the impact of patient flow systems: behavioral analytics and real-time data from low cost disposable sensors. The sophisticated analytics package leverages real-time sensor data to present clear and unbiased insights to clinical teams, creating trust and eliminating stress associated with downtime and patient frustration.
The collaboration with several SoftBank companies will focus on delivering improvements in system productivity and patient experience, with plans to launch proof-of-concept projects utilizing data visualization, predictive analytics, AI and robotics. The projects will combine TenX’s world class behavioral analytics and patient tracking with technologies being developed by Softbank companies and partners.
“Working with Softbank and its portfolio companies, TenX can now expand into a wider range of exciting applications,” said Leland “Lee” Pillsbury, Chairman TenX Healthcare. “The Cleveland Clinic Florida pilot proved the team’s ability to drive ROI and quality in the OR, and as we start to enhance Hawthorne with new capabilities like AI, facial recognition and robotics the potential is very exciting. TenX is clearly one of the most promising companies to watch in healthcare right now.”
